A CELEBRATION AND SHOWCASE OF A KNOWLEDGE CITY AT WORK
From Sunday 14 November to Saturday 20 November Melbourne will be a hive of activity with numerous
events being held to showcase the varied facets of our knowledge city.
Melbourne is known as an arts city, a science & research city, a sporting city and a global university city,
all of which contribute to making it a knowledge city. The world’s most renowned knowledge cities include
Boston, Manchester, Barcelona and of course Melbourne.
Melbourne Knowledge Week 2010 has been developed to enable the wider community to learn about and
celebrate Melbourne’s knowledge assets. Melbournians are encouraged to check out the calendar of
events below and become involved; during Melbourne Knowledge Week there's something for everyone.
The Melbourne Knowledge Week calendar
Each event that is being supported by Melbourne Knowledge Week is listed below, scroll down to view the
calendar and event listings.
To read a summary of the event hover over the date and time. To find out further event details and to access
the event host's website simply click on the event name on the calendar view.
All day events
All day events are shown on the calendar at the start of every day in the hours preceding 7am. For further
schedule details of these events please visit the Event Partner's website via the link on each event's details
page.
Date format
The Knowledge Week event calendar lists the activities occurring throughout the week, from Sunday 14
November through to Saturday 20 November. Dates on the calendar should be read as MONTH then DATE.
