WELCOME TO MELBOURNE KNOWLEDGE WEEK
A CELEBRATION AND SHOWCASE OF A KNOWLEDGE CITY AT WORK
From Sunday 14 November to Saturday 20 November Melbourne will be a hive of activity with numerous
events being held to showcase the varied facets of our knowledge city.
Melbourne is known as an arts city, a science & research city, a sporting city and a global university city,
all of which contribute to making it a knowledge city. The world’s most renowned knowledge cities include
Boston, Manchester, Barcelona and of course Melbourne.
Melbourne Knowledge Week 2010 has been developed to enable the wider community to learn about and
celebrate Melbourne’s knowledge assets. Melbournians are encouraged to check out the calendar of
events below and become involved; during Melbourne Knowledge Week there's something for everyone.
