message from the lord mayor

As Lord Mayor of Melbourne, I am pleased to invite colleagues and friends to the Melbourne 2010
Knowledge Cities World Summit to be held from 16 ? 19 November 2010.

Melbourne is known as an arts city, a science & research city, a sporting city and a global university city,
all of which contribute to making it a knowledge city.

Hosted by the City of Melbourne and the World Capital Institute, this summit will focus on the theme of
knowledge moving "from theory to practice" and bring together both academics and practitioners who
are knowledge experts from around the world.

Meet with knowledge experts and learn through discussions with industry colleagues and peers in
Australia?s own knowledge city, Melbourne. We look forward to welcoming you in November.
